Clubs & Activities
Learning doesn't stop when the school day ends. AACMS offers a wide variety of after-school clubs and activities for students in every grade level, encouraging students to explore art forms, academic subjects and leadership opportunities outside of the regular school day.

Updated information on clubs and activities for the 2021-2022 school year will be posted soon!
Virtual Clubs & Activities
AACMS is excited to begin offering virtual clubs and activities to our students during the COVID-19 pandemic. All activities will meet online following the regular school day. More information about these new extra-curricular opportunities will be posted below.
Dungeons & Dragons
Dungeons and Dragons, or DnD is a fictional, open-world role-playing board game that uses a combination of theater of the mind and pen and paper to set a scene for any type of setting that a student can think of. From the high fantasy of castles, kings, queens, and dragons to flying high above the Earth’s orbit as they traverse the stars in a science fiction futuristic scene, to having those as worship the cursed god Cthulu! The point of this game, is to have a break from the pressures of society and to just have fun.

The purpose of this club is to provide a unique and immersive experience allowing students to engage in team-building, solve problems creatively, and practice math skills. More importantly, the club provides a judgement-free environment in which students can explore their individuality. DnD’s use of interwoven concepts provide a sense of freedom by going above and beyond the physiological body and the gendered stereotypes of modern society.

Please note:  During the COVID-19 pandemic, students who wish to participate in this club virtually will need to create an account with a third-party website using their AACMS email account.  More details will be provided by the advisors.

The Virtuoso: National Junior Honor Society at AACMS
In order to motivate and support student success, Arts Academy Charter Middle School is pleased to announce we have created a local chapter of the National Junior Honor Society to recognize and promote student scholarship, citizenship, leadership, service, and character. The Virtuoso will strive to exemplify the National Junior Honor Society’s standards and to recognize the total student—one who excels in several areas of achievement.  Membership in the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a middle school student.

To become a member, students who meet the academic standards outlined below are further considered by our school’s Faculty Council for membership based on their service, leadership, citizenship, and character.
  • Scholarship: Any seventh or eighth grade AACMS student who has completed at least two quarters at our school and has maintained an overall cumulative average of 95 in their core classes and arts classes during that time.
  •  Leadership, service, character, and citizenship: As demonstrated by activities and teacher evaluations.
For more information on the National Junior Honor Society, please visit their website at www.njhs.us.
