Donate
Thank you for your interest in donating to Arts Academy Charter Middle School! We rely on the generosity of contributors like you to bridge the gap between the public funding we receive and the actual costs of providing our students the welcoming, supportive, and rigorous school environment they enjoy every day.

As a Pennsylvania public charter school, AACMS receives its funding through each student's local school district. On average, AACMS receives only 75% of the funding of a traditional public school per student, and the actual amount of funding per student varies widely between local school districts. Altogether, this means AACMS faces a sizeable funding shortfall each school year.
Why Being a Donor is Important
AACMS donors and sponsors have a direct, positive impact on our students. Through contributions like yours, we can provide enriching artistic experiences like master classes, visits from arts professionals, trips to local cultural venues, and student performances and exhibitions.

As a donor, you may opt to contribute to our General Fund, which offsets operational expenses, or give directly to a specific program or purpose of your choosing.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, your gift is more critical to our mission than ever before. With our students currently attending classes from home, providing reliable and secure Internet access to each student is more important than ever before. The cost incurred by AACMS to provide this Internet access is significant, and all contributions to this undertaking are gratefully accepted.

AACMS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and your donation may be tax-deductible.

About AACMS

Arts Academy Charter Middle School is committed to providing quality academic and arts education programs for our students by offering a rigorous academic curriculum alongside instruction in seven artistic disciplines: Dance, Figure Skating, Instrumental Music, Literary & Media Arts, Theatre, Visual Arts and Vocal Music. Our students have chosen to pursue their passion for the arts while also maintaining high academic standards.

AACMS students receive 50 to 150 minutes of artistic instruction as part of each school day. Over the course of an average school year, this equals roughly 150 to 450 hours of artistic instruction for each student, which is completely tuition-free for their families. Across our seven arts departments, AACMS students and faculty produce over two dozen student performances, showcases, and exhibitions throughout the local community each school year.

AACMS also offers a comprehensive academic curriculum aligned to Pennsylvania Common Core standards. Our academic faculty are fully certified and come from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds.

Most importantly, AACMS’s small student population – capped at 400 students - allows our teachers and staff to provide for the individual needs of our students. We provide services and programs for students of all educational backgrounds and needs, including the Ovations Academic Program, Response to Intervention program and the STAR Positive Behavior Support Plan. All of these programs are implemented by our caring faculty and staff in a welcoming and supportive school environment that celebrates individuality and creative expression.
